If you choose to drive to the retreat location, there is convenient and free on-site parking at the retreat location.
By Train
The train from Taipei Main Station to Hualien Station is about 2.5 hours. From the train station to the retreat center, it is another 30 minute drive. If you would like to take the train with the church, registration for train tickets will have a deadline of 7/26.

What to bring
Bring your Bible, notebook/pen, personal hygiene supplies, umbrella, water bottle, and a snack to share with others.
The retreat location will provide bedding, towels, hair dryer, shampoo and body wash.

FAQ
What is retreat?
In the Bible, we see Jesus Himself retreating into the wilderness to draw near to the Father during His ministry. In the same way, this retreat is a special time for us as a church to step away from our routines and come before God together. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and deepen relationships. We encourage everyone to consider setting aside your time to join us!
I have a child over the age of 3 years, can I bring my child? Does my child have to be paid for?
We will only have childcare available for 3 years and under. However, if you as a parent hope to bring your child over the age of 3, there will be a classroom available for the children. Parents are responsible for organizing their own childcare and can discuss logistics with other parents. Note that each family's cost would be an additional $500 for meals.
What will we be eating at the retreat? What if I have allergies or intolerances?
All six meals will be provided, served in the cafeteria in Chinese-styled cuisine. If you have any allergies, please make sure to note it when registering.
What if I want to attend Retreat but the Train Ticket deadline is already over?
You are still welcome to attend Retreat, however it is up to you to make travel arrangements. We have our train schedule listed above and you are welcome to purchase tickets of that same time.
Who will I be living with?
If you want to request a roommate, please note when registering, otherwise we will pair you.
REGISTRATION
Please register through the Roots Church App and pay via cash in giving envelopes by September 27th or until we reach capacity. Please specify 'Fall Retreat Registration' on the giving envelope.
